Zen Path Retreat

The Zen Path Retreat will emphasize 3 of these styles of meditation: Concentration, Inquiry, & Awareness. This harmonization of styles forms a pathway of learning that is informed by the Zen tradition–whose major practices include breath counting(concentration), koans (inquiry), just sitting (awareness)–but reconstructed in an innovative new form. This new form is highly stripped down and minimalistic. On this retreat there is no required traditional dress, no dharma names to be received, and no one expected to shave their heads (that aren’t already shaved).

Much of the meditation practice will be done in silence, but periods of social meditation and group discussion will also be used as an opportunity to ground the practice in a relational context. There will also be regular private meetings with the retreat teachers to check-in and get feedback as the retreat progresses. The schedule will be announced to those who register, prior to retreat.

This retreat is limited to 20 people.
