The Tenderness of Existence: Making A Home in the Divine Abodes

  • Buddhist Geeks Online Dojo (map)

In meditation we develop a tender active heart and learn to rest in awareness with potent  preciousness of human existence. While we are soft at the core, we are also strong and powerful. In this teaching series we will explore how we can live without armor and masks in a healthy way.

In this online practice series, we will deepen our understanding of being one among many by inclining our minds to cultivating what in the Buddhist Tradition are called the divine abodes. In a sense our mind contains many rooms and we must learn how to enter, clean them up, and leave without unnecessary grasping. We will pay special attention to emotions and mental tendencies of overwhelm, suppression, and wallowing.

This series will be held live over 4 Saturdays from 12-1:30pm ET. Each session will include an informational talk, meditation, and group discussion. You will have the option of downloading and watching each practice session later.
